Normalize Failure and Stop Seeking Validation

In our journey through life, whether one’s career, business, projects or even side hustles: we often encounter challenges that can knock us down. It's in these moments that our true strength is tested. Many of us fall into the trap of seeking validation from others, looking for approval to feel good about ourselves (in today’s terms: the likes, the follows and everything to do with that instant gratification). However, this reliance on external validation can hinder our personal growth and resilience. In this fast-paced world look on slowing down things to your pace so you can taste and really enjoy what you are doing.

When you start seeking validation from others, you give away your power. Your self-worth becomes dependent on external opinions, and you lose sight of your own goals and values. Instead of focusing on your personal growth, you become preoccupied with pleasing others and meeting their expectations. This can lead to a cycle of disappointment and self-doubt. Always look to working on things you can control, your controllables are the only thing you can change. In all facets of your life, when centering on things you cannot control will only lead to a downward spiral, which tends to have a domino effect on all efforts.

Failure is not the end; it's an opportunity to learn and grow. When you get knocked down, it's essential to get back up even stronger. Every setback is a chance to build resilience and improve. Embrace failure as a valuable part of your journey. Instead of fearing it, use it as a steppingstone to greater achievements. As people we all have strengths and weaknesses, it is always best practice to highlight and work on our strengths and give time to our strengths; because our weaknesses can only be overpowered through the way we utilize what we are strong at.

Don't seek validation from others. Focus on improving yourself and becoming better every day. Set your own goals and work tirelessly towards achieving them. This self-driven approach ensures that your progress is genuine and not influenced by the fleeting opinions of others. Keep yourself motivated by trying new things challenging yourself and finding new ways to keep you inspired. Finding inspiration and not staying in your comfort zone opens your horizons to learn more and to see the outside world, there is always a bigger picture. It's easy to get comfortable in your safe place, but true growth happens outside of it. Grow into developing the mindset to take micro steps for your macro goals. At the end of the day, you don’t know what you don’t know! In every milestone that you reach keep raising that bar and pushing yourself to learn and grow.

Remember this: when you stop learning is when you stop living!

You are never too old to stop learning, and it's never too late to start something you've always wanted to do. The best time to start something is “NOW”, not “I should have done this yesterday” or not even “tomorrow”! Live your life without regrets and the only way you can do that is by choosing your efforts and being happy in what you are doing. Choose your battles and the battles worth fighting for. Whether you win or lose, you will be content that you fought it in the first place and move on with learnings. No regrets! In addition, normalize failure and be particular on building yourself up. Because we are never going to obtain perfection, but we can strive to getting closer each day. So, stay focused, determined, and always hungry for knowledge and self-improvement. Keep going, no matter the obstacles. Success teaches you nothing, but failure can give you the opportunity to learn. It’s in your hands if you chose to learn or be ignorant.

Set goals to overachieve and to keep raising that bar higher and higher.

In everything you do, stay focused on your goals and find new ways to keep yourself inspired. Learning never stops, and neither should you. Embrace failure as a natural part of the journey, and never seek validation from others. By aiming on your growth and pushing yourself out of your comfort zone, you'll achieve greatness. Dwell in the process and enjoy the process because this changes everything. When you enjoy what you do the result is just the byproduct of the steps you took. Success means different to everyone, but not everyone is happy doing what they are doing. Happiness is found in enjoying the game as much as the result, because if you don’t, the fulfillment after winning is only going to last a day. There is always the next thing…

Remember, the power to succeed lies within you. Stay hungry, stay determined, and keep pushing forward. Your journey is yours to shape, so make it a remarkable one.

Jeremiah 29:11 - “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”
